Where have I been?

I have not written in a long time and am finally trying to get back into writing more frequently. So the last post I wrote was in October 2015 (Yes I know it's been a while). My husband who is in the Army deployed and for the first time I had to take care of my two children by myself. I know there are many single parents out there that do this everyday, but I was honestly so scared. First, I am really far from my family. We are stationed in the middle of nowhere Middle of the USA. And I don't have many friends in the area. In addition to this change, I also got a job!!!!!! I work as a chiropractic assistant for the military. The job came at a perfect time. The job literally is wonderful and allowed me to keep sane and meet lots of new people while my husband was on deployment. So between work, being a single parent for about 8 months, trying to work on my art, and household duties I was pretty busy.

Currently, I am starting to put more focus on my art business. I would love to do art full time and am ready to put in the time to make this a reality. I create art all the time but am not too good at posting and marketing. I definitely realize I have to focus on those areas and be more proactive in submitting my art to galleries, designers, and other people that work in the creative industry.

So hopefully I continue to blog regularly! In the mean time here are some work I have created in the last 8 months. All are created on paper and with a variety of media.
